Case Study - RMC Refrigeration SCADA Rebuild
In 2023, Melbourne Power was contacted by Ralph's Meat Company (RMC) to replace their aging SCADA infrastructure with a new modern design that focused on ease of use, performance, and security.

Out With the Old
The old design for the refrigeration SCADA, while functional, was difficult to read and slow to navigate. To keep up with increasing demand, a redesign was needed.
Simple & Clean
When redesigning the SCADA pages, we focused on using a neutral colour scheme that was easy to look at, using highlights only for crucial information that needed to be understood at a glance.
Access Only to Those Who Need It
Using Ignition's advanced role-based security, we were able to restrict access to changing values and alarms down to the individual tag, to ensure that only those who should have access do.
Alarming Versatility
With editable setpoints, priorities, and enabling/disabling, control over alarms was made highly configurable, while still being easy to use.
